Do Any of These Sound Familiar?

You're functioning, but your exhausted. Maybe your emotionally drained, stuck in old patterns, or just feel off in ways you can't quite name. At A Strand of Hope Counseling, we understand how heavy that can feel. The questions below reflect the kinds of inner battles many of us carry, often silently. Take a moment to read through them. Which ones feel familiar?

  1. "Why do I always feel like I have to keep it all together, even when I'm falling apart inside?"

  2. "I don't even know who I am anymore, just who I have to be."

  3. "How do I explain this pain when I don't even fully understand it myself?"

  4. "I'm so tired of performing like I'm okay. I just want to feel like myself again."

  5. "Why can't I stop overthinking everything, even things that happened years ago?"

  6. "My body is exhausted, but my mind won't slow down."

  7. "It's like I'm always in survival mode, and I don't know how to rest."

  8. "I'm so sensitive lately. Why does everything feel like too much."

  9. "How can I be this anxious and still expected to just '[ush through' like it's normal?"

  10. "Do I even deserve to rest, or am I just being lazy?"

If any of these hits close to home, you're in the right place.

Meet Your Therapist

Jessica Elliott, LMFT-Associate

Supervised by Dana Lewin, LMFT-S

Hi, I am Jessica, a therapist, trauma survivor, neurodivergent human, and a deeply curious listener. I help individuals who feel lost, overwhelmed, or burned out reconnect with themselves: body, mind, and spirit.

I bring both clinical tools and lived empathy to our sessions. Whether you're navigating grief, anxiety, trauma, PCOS-related struggles, chronic stress, infertility, or emotional abuse, I hold space for the whole you.

Together we'll slow down. We'll listen. We'll heal.

This isn't about "fixing" you. It's about finally being with yourself in a way that feels honest, safe, and sustainable.

Why Individual Therapy?

  • You're doing all the "right" things but still feel disconnected.

  • You're carrying a story that no one else sees, and it's getting heavy to hold alone.

  • You've learned how to survive, now you're ready to learn how to live.

What You'll Experience in Our Work Together

1. Somatic Therapy

  • Reconnect with your body, release stored tension, and begin to understand how your nervous system has been trying to protect you. Learn real ways to self-soothe, using your five senses, your breath, your inner wisdom.

2. Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Explore the parts of you that have developed to help you survive: the people-pleaser, the hypervigilant thinker, the exhausted caretaker. These parts aren't broken; they just need space, compassion, and healing.

3. Experiential and Creative Approaches

  • We don't just talk about your emotions, we work with them, feel them, and move through them in a safe, embodied way. From visualization to parts work to breathwork, we use what feels right for you.

4. Real-Life Tools for Real-Life Stress

  • We integrate solution focused techniques and nervous system regulation practices you can use in your actual day, when you're drained, dissociating, overstimulated, or just "all out of spoons."

Special Focus Areas

  • Trauma and Complex PTSD

  • Anxiety, Overthinking, and Emotional Burnout

  • PCOS, Chronic Illness, and Body Disconnection

  • Grief, Life Transitions, and Identity Shifts

  • Infertility, and Reproductive Grief

  • Neurodivergent-Affirming Care

Why Choose A Strand of Hope Counseling?

  • You want therapy that honors your nervous system, not just your thoughts.

Flexible, Confidential Care, Private Pay & Telehealth

At A Strand of Hope Counseling, I offer private pay-only services, delivered exclusively via telehealth, so your care fits your life, not the other way around.

Why Private Pay?

I've chosen private pay because your therapy should be shaped by your needs, not by an insurance company's rules.

  • Personalized care, without diagnosis requirements or session limits.

  • Full confidentiality, no insurance records or clinical labels.

  • Support that's led by you, not your paperwork.

Why Telehealth Only?

Providing telehealth-only sessions allows for maximum flexibility and access, from wherever you are (in Texas). It means:

  • No commutes, no waiting rooms, no missed sessions due to traffic or logistics.

  • Accessible care across Texas, from the comfort of your own space.

  • Ideal for sensitive, overwhelmed, or low-spoon days.

Cost of Services

  • Standard individual sessions:

  • $180 for a 50-minute session.

Concerned About Cost?

Worried that therapy might be out of reach financially? You’re not alone, and you don’t have to let cost be the reason you don’t get support.

I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for those who need financial flexibility. If you're concerned about affordability, please don’t hesitate to ask.

I understand how hard it can be to prioritize your relationship when money feels tight, I’ve been there too. Let’s have a free, no-pressure conversation to explore options and see what might work for you.

Your story matters.

Your nervous system matters.

You matter.

Let's begin this journey, one grounded, healing moment at a time.
